Empowerment of Women

l have involved my life in the struggle of Women Empowerment in my Country, Ghana. I have contributed in several programs that brought relief, joy and laughter to our local Women.

This was done by organizing various development programmes for working Women and also for Women from every walk of life including the most deprived in the society.

I am always happy to hear about Women Empowerment initiatives that are taking place around the world because l was associated with these kind of initiatives from my teenage.

I am associated with the Department of Women, under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and I have been contributing towards the cause of Women Empowerment for last 30 yrs.

We are grateful to all those illustrious people from the Past who had contributed towards Women Empowerment and also greateful to those people who are still working on issues related to Women Empowerment in today’s time and era.

The problem that we are facing today is that our male counterparts are not fully appreciating about the need of Women Empowerment and therefore we have lot of work to do.

Through this communication, l also would like to state that I had attended the Women Conference in Beijing in 1995. The conference had opened up lot of perspectives as regards to Women’s Empowerment around the World.

I wish to read from your website topics that are related to Women and Gender issues.
