Fashion bracelets

Fashion bracelets are article of jewelry which is worn around the wrist. Bracelets can be manufactured from leather, cloth, plastic or metal, and sometimes contain rocks, wood, and/or shells.

The history of bracelets is as old as 5000 BC. Starting with the use of materials like bones, stones and woods to serve religious and spiritual interests. The Scarab Bracelet is one of the most recognized symbols of ancient Egypt. The scarab represented rebirth and regeneration. Carved scarabs were worn as jewelry and wrapped into the linen bandages of mummies. The myth of ancient Egypt mentions about the scarab god, Khepri, pushing the sun across the sky.

When we talk about the types of fashion bracelets that are available today then we find a wide variety which includes sports bracelets, charm bracelets, slap bracelets, beaded bracelets, link bracelets, brace cuffs, friendship bracelet, sex bracelets, Italian charm bracelets, Manillas, spike band, torc and wristband.

Fashion bracelets: Guidelines for wearing bracelets

When you wear a fashion bracelet, make sure that it is visible to the world. For this ideally you can wear a sweater or shirt with a three-quarter inch sleeve. Anything longer would overlap the bracelet, hiding it from the dazzling effect. Bracelets can also differ according to the type of arms and wrists you have got. If you have long slender arms and wrists, try the chunky bracelets and cuffs. They highlight slimmer arms and look good on them. If you have bigger boned arms and wrists then it is wise to go for delicate wired styles which will make your wrists and arms look slender.

Fashion bracelets: Bracelets for different occasions

Bracelets also differ according to the occasion when they are worn. A bracelet for a party may not look good for office wear. Always try to wear bracelets which are of relaxed style and which are connected with elastic. This will put less stress on the veins of the wrist. In fact the clasp closure type of bracelets can feel restrictive after a few hours, as well as run the risk of getting snagged on something or someone, consequently falling off and becoming lost.

Fashion bracelets: Gold for people with blue tone and other general recommendations

People who are on the side of blue tone have highly visible veins and blue tones in their hands. For such people gold jewelry is advisable as it neutralizes the blue. Gold is fashionable and it's fun to go bold with gold. Manicures and bracelets can complement one another if done nicely. Nail polish should be matched with the type of bracelet you are wearing. Metallic nail polish compliments gold and silver style bracelets and pastel polish coordinates best with crystals and rhinestones bracelets.

Fashion bracelets: The bold and dazzling look

If you have decided to go for that bold and dazzling look then go for number of bracelets all together. Clustering several similar bracelets together can provide an eye-catching statement. But remember that you don't put different kind of bracelets in one hand. The cluster affect works best when all the bracelets are similar in color, style and shape. Always try to bend with the environment.

Fashion bracelets: The natural flair look

The natural flair look is the in thing. For example if you are going to a "green" party then adorn a tiger's eye bracelet. On the other hand, a simple wood cuff will also make a bold yet elegant statement in such "green" parties. Some of us like to wear bracelets in both of our hands. If you are one of them, then remember that bracelets are nice if it's worn on a single hand rather than both the hands. Bangles go on both hands but bracelets look better and are more pleasing to the eye if worn only on one wrist. If with bangles you try for a symmetrical look then it’s just the opposite with bracelets. Try to be asymmetrical by dressing up with contrasting patterned bracelets. Whatever your style is, there are bracelets out there to match it and there are bracelets out there that will fit you, whatever size wrist you may have. So go and hunt for them.

Fashion bracelets: The standard and the customized bracelet sizes

Nothing to worry about the sizes of bracelets as bracelets come in standard sizes, or they can be customized also to the size of your choice. The standard sizes are 7 inches for a woman, 8 inches for a man, and 9 inches for a larger wrist. Standard sizes are made keeping in mind the general population but if you are one who is little different based on your build then also there is nothing to worry as bracelets can be easily adjusted for the perfect fit. First of all bracelets themselves can be adjusted by means of the clasp or an elastic band that is attached to them. Moreover it is not uncommon for bracelets to need size adjustment, and therefore jewellers are generally equipped to make slight modifications to most bracelets in the same way that they can with rings. They are fairly popular adornments, and all but the most expensive can be adjusted in circumference fairly easily.
