Fashion tops

Fashion tops are clothing that covers the upper human body from the neck to the waistline, especially that of women. Tops are sometimes as short as mid-torso, and as long as mid-thigh. Men's tops are generally paired with pants, and women's with pants or skirts. Common types of tops are t-shirts, blouses and shirts. The neckline is the highest line of the top, and may be as high as a head-covering hood, or as low as the waistline or bottom hem of the top. A fashion top may be worn loose or tight around the bust or waist, and may have sleeves or shoulder straps, or may be strapless. The back may be covered or bare. Some designers create tops with straps around the waist or neck, or over the shoulders.

Fashion tops: Crop tops are blouses that are cut off

Crop tops (also cropped tops) are T-shirts or blouses that are cut off, resulting in the exposure of some of the wearer's abdomen. The halfshirt (or bellyshirt) is a variety of shirt that is cut off from the bottom of the chest.

Fashion tops: Tank tops are shirts with no sleeves

Tank tops are light, comfortable shirts that have no sleeves. They are available in different sizes and designs for women. Many tank tops are made from lightweight fabric similar to that used in t-shirts. Easy to care for cotton or cotton blends are usually preferred, although some tank tops are made from knits, terrycloth or nylon. Tank tops may be smooth, ribbed or waffle knit, and they feature different styles of necklines and arm enclosures.

The most common tank tops are constructed in much the same way as t-shirts, although instead of sleeves, they have "straps" about one or two inches wide that go over the shoulders. This design is a very affordable choice and comes in many fabrics and colors. It is also available in many different sizes and can be worn by anyone, young or old, male or female.

Fashion tops: Haltertops stand on single strap

Halterneck is a style of women's clothing with a single strap around the back of the neck. This can refer to either a dress or a separate shirt, called a halter top. The latter is a type of sleeveless shirt similar to a tank top (by the American English definition). The term "halter" comes from the German word for "holder", as in Büstenhalter, which literally means "busts-holder" and is equivalent to "brassiere".

Fashion tops: Bra tops are just like brassiere but are worn outside

Bra tops are just like brassiere but are worn outside. They support and highlight the breasts. Example of a bra top is the sports style bra with flattering princess seams and a double layer front. The Natural and Black colors are made of extra-soft combed cotton and the Cranberry is made of a slightly heavier tee shirt weight that makes it appropriate for outerwear for the summer or for yoga classes.

Fashion tops: Tube tops are shoulderless and sleeveless

A tube top (British: boob tube) is a shoulderless, sleeveless "tube" that wraps the torso (not reaching higher than the armpits). Such a top is generally very tight over the breasts in order to prevent the garment from falling. Usually this is prevented with elastic. Other types of tops for women are tunic tops, evening tops, Lycra tops, Rocknroll tops, Cami tops and hooded tops.

Fashion tops: Select your tops to highlight your charm points

Find out what your "charm point" is. Is it the neck or the arms or navel or something else? Pick an apparel item that shows it. For instance, if you want to show off your neck and shoulders, a tube top or tank top is ideal when dressing casually and a spaghetti strap dress at evening time.

Fashion tops: Add a bit of tease value with your tops

Tease a little bit to create a sense of intrigue and curiosity. For instance, let your bra show or leave a few buttons undone or wear something that is low-cut. Wear a sheer top with undergarments, of course when in public. In private, you can wear a sheer top without undergarments. Tops with frills, lace, ribbons, strings, etc. are perfect if you want to present yourself as "cute."

Fashion tops: Use accessories to emphasize your body parts

Use an accessory to emphasize a body part. For instance, a choker is great for drawing attention to the neck, while a necklace with a pendant may be ideal if you want to invite someone to look a little bit lower.
