Marrying a person who is a citizen of another country automatically opens up doors for immigration and for countless people, this is an irresistible opportunity to live in a foreign country and perhaps enhance one's standard of living. This has also given rise to many fake marriages which are entered into for the sole purpose of getting a visa. Immigration and marriage is thus a very sensitive matter. This is more commonly seen in developed countries like the US, Europe, Canada, etc.
