We are living in a time of tremendous flux and rapid change. Many of the so called pillar structures of modern human civilization are falling apart; whether it be the patriarchal form of society based on power and control or structures which are based on reductionism and unabashed self-oriented materialism.

The destruction of the environment, the falling apart of the financial and economic structures of the world, the marginalization of large section of humanity, the clash of the civilizations in the form of terrorism and war are some of the ominous signs of destructive change.

Indeed the time has come for a "beginning" where women need take a lead in building a new world order based on holism and unification of forces. Women need to rise in unison around the world to show a path to humanity which is based on the “principles of nature” and which promotes inclusiveness, love, compassion, healing and nurturing.

For this to happen women have to recognize the tremendous “inner power” that lays within them. They need to awaken the feminine which resides deep in them. The awakened feminine principle will lead to creative and generative changes in all walks of life and we would see the rise of womanhood in every sphere of lie.

The rise of womanhood will be only possible if we address every aspect related to women’s life and synthesize a new structure and movement based on this awareness. We have to study every issue related to women in depth which includes Awakening the feminine, Feminism, Women in religion, Matriarchy, Women empowerment, Girl child, Mother earth news, Understanding men, Friends & relationships, Self discovery, Kali, Project-9 & Women’s power, Art & Science, Dance & Music, Women’s fashion, Women’s sexuality, Women’s health & fitness, Women & marriage, Rape, Prostitution and Drug abuse. Finding a common thread from this study will help us to find an opening for the dawn of a new age. The rise-of-womanhood website is a small step towards this direction. Somewhere we have to make a beginning and it’s always better if we make the initiation at our own self. We can strengthen this mass movement for the “rise of womanhood” by bringing about the necessary changes in our own life as felt by our inner self. Further we can transmit the new thinking to others who care to listen. A small step today will definitely lead to a giant leap tomorrow.
