From the time of memorial the war between the sexes has endured. We all know that our sex differences created behaviors of assigned roles that over time took root in a hierarchal system of cultural attitudes. But our 'ways of being' never really offered gender partnership, although it appeared as if it did.
After all, women were supposed to take comfort in what was perceived as our "natural" role as caretaker and housemaker. Afterall, were we not too stupid for intellectual pursuit incapable of working in the outside arena?
Perhaps Eve of the "garden" had to be tricked by evil intention in order for male power to reign and maintin his position of authority. Was she not made of the same mortal substance as Adam, full of passion and human desire? Yet, her curious mind and sexual appeal became her downfall.
Eve, the once innocent is now Eve the temptress, capable of luring man from his high level of superiority. So in the scheme of life she must be relegated to a position only worthy of serving mankind.
Who then is the more powerful sex? Could it be that Eve's willful nature had to be harnessed in order for Adam to be the man? That Eve, who is representitive of all women, is not only the angelic soul of humanity but a wise aspect of our spiritual nature?
She is a powerful force that must be quieted, pressed down, made to be inferior least she rears her ugly head in defiance like feminist of modern times seeking justice and equality! It is the greatest deceiving story ever told.
