Understanding Men

Understanding Men has been relatively straight forward in the traditional sense. They have been branded and stereotyped as brash, straight forward, without much consideration for emotions and feelings. But this is a big mistake to brand them in a stereotype formula. It will be a great injustice to humanity to brand all men this way. Most of the times what you are really seeing is just a mask of your real man. Sometimes you end up living a whole life with your Man and you never understand him. The fault is neither yours nor his. It’s an anomaly in the society that is prevailing from thousands of years now. "Understanding men" therefore needs a new perspective altogether.

Understanding Men: Suppression of the feminine

As I have mentioned previously, men have been pushed hard by the society to suppress their feminine energy and the feminine principle that so much exists in them. They have been told from the childhood not to cry, not to show their emotions and they are brought up in surroundings where they have to confirm to the strict norms and regulations of the patriarchal society. Ultimately they also become the part of this big bandwagon of a patriarchal set up. But the question we need to ask is at what cost? The cost is enormous. Men end up living through their reptilian brain manifesting pattern of behavior dominated by fight or flight, action and more action without any deep rooted thinking process, fear, anger, self-ego, jealousy, suppression and manipulation of the weak, unabashed individualism at the cost of others, unsatisfied urge to consume and consume everything without the consideration of the nature and all the negative energies that is portrayed by the subconscious mind.

Understanding Men: Awakening the feminine

Men are not allowed to express love, compassion, feeling of nurturing & healing towards others. This is either taken as a weakness or impotency. But the truth is that the real creative and generative learning originates with a projective thinking transcending the self and reaching for the world with love, compassion, feeling of nurturing & healing. This gives a larger purpose and vision to the individual and it becomes a great source of motivation for action based on creative and generative change. A spiritual awakening is seen and the individual ends up doing things which were never in his capacity in the beginning. This transcending of self only can take place if we can awaken the feminine principle in all of us.

The irony of the world is that most of the men never think or walk through this path. Every man is emotional and he can be transformed into a thinking adult with the capacity to express love, compassion and the feeling of nurturing and healing. He can be transformed into a man with a balanced expression of the feminine and the masculine principles. The feminine principle can give him a sense of purpose, vision and genuine creative thinking which transcends his individual self and the masculine principle can give him the will for creative, generative and constructive action for not only his good but for many others. Thus your Man can become one who is in sync with nature and he becomes part of the unifying forces of nature.

But most of the times all the unifying and generative qualities expressed through the feminine principle lay suppressed in him somewhere deep inside his soul. He is afraid to bring it out and live a different and original life as cherished by his soul. He continues to live his messy life confirming to the norms and rules of the patriarchal society and wastes a beautiful life that he has.

Understanding Men: Making men self-aware

We need to take initiative to understand men through the various manifestations of his life. Further we need to make him self-aware and awaken his feminine principle so that he can live a fuller life.

Understanding Men: Role of women

You as a woman can change all this. You can awaken the feminine in your man and make him see the world through a different window which is actually the window of nature and the universe. Looking through this window gives an enormous perspective of a life which is more than the narrow self. This is the real world where life and existence are in peace with themselves. Here everything that exists is fine within the scheme of nature and everything can be transformed to move towards a new reality based on unification of forces.

As a woman it comes natural to you to express the feminine principle. You are the nature’s hope to bring about the transformation towards unifying of forces. You need to take up the cudgels of transmitting the abundance of feminine energy into your man. It is the requirement of the times. Humanity can move ahead only through this path if it wants to achieve further revolutions in its existence. Otherwise the future of humanity as seen today looks to be very bleak and sorry.
