Voice of feminine spirit is the voice of feminine wisdom and compassion that existed from time immemorial. If we closely examine history and myth dating back to the prehistoric times, we can find remnants in abundance of an order which was strongly feminine. This is true for most parts of the world. There is ample proof of the existence of a matriarchal order based on the feminine principle whether it is in the form of a hill in Silbury which looks like a womb or the Venus sculptures that was discovered in France and the caves of Malta and Gozo or the traditions and customs which continues even in today’s religions. It is a fact that the voice of the feminine spirit can be heard in all religions. The Jewish Shekhinah, the Gnostic Sophia, the Shakta tradition in Hinduism, the Tibetan Buddhist Tara are examples of the feminine wisdom and compassion which manifests even in today’s world. It would be apt to say that the voice of feminine spirit is the embodiment of wisdom, knowledge and cognition of all knowing. The study of Goddess Tara of Tibetan Buddhism is a good example to understand the feminine spirit and the voice of feminine wisdom and compassion.
Voice of feminine spirit: Tara the goddess of feminine wisdom and compassion
Goddess Tara of the Tibetan iconography portrays the ultimate truth of the universal void and shows us the path of total liberation by the merger of form, energy and the supreme consciousness. Goddess Tara in her form as Green Tara is especially venerated for her wisdom and compassion. She is always available to her devotees as the saviour from the evil and dark forces and she is compassionate enough to reveal the universal truth to those who call her steadfastly. Goddess Tara and the Dakinis in Tibetan Buddhism represent the voice of the feminine spirit which gives us a call to rise above the ordinary and achieve the ultimate purpose of our life. This manifestation of the feminine spirit can be found in other religions too.
Voice of feminine spirit: Shekinah, the Holy Spirit of the feminine and Shakti the feminine force of Hinduism
In fact the truth of the existence of the feminine and the masculine as the principle forces of nature is something that is propagated by many other major religions also. The Jewish tradition of portraying the Holy Spirit, Ruach Ha Kodesh, the Shekinah as the feminine form of supreme manifestation is an example. According to this tradition the Holy Spirit is responsible for nurturing and bringing the birth souls to the highest abode. Similarly in Hinduism, Shakti is considered as the supreme feminine force residing deep inside our lower spine in the form of the Kundalini energy and Kundalini awakening is a phenomenon where this energy is awakened and pushed towards an upward trajectory with a goal for merger with the supreme consciousness. This is the path to total liberation which can be awakened in all of us.

Now the question that arises is how to awaken the feminine spirit which lays dormant in us and which needs a stimulus for awakening? The first step for awakening the feminine in all of us is through self analysis and introspection. Once the fire is rekindled deep within us then we can take the help of a divine teacher in visible or invisible form. Music and meditation are some of the instruments which can further help us towards this endeavour. In fact it is highly beneficial to listen to soothing and soul inspiring music. Apart from music and meditation there are many techniques through which we can become receptive to the voice of feminine spirit but the beginning can only take place if we are willing to look inside.

Let me again reemphasize on the fact that awakening the voice of feminine spirit can only take place if we are willing to look deep inside our own inner self. Once this process starts then we can sense a feeling of coming home and the feeling of a safe space. Here we unfold and unfurl and see the most authentic expression of our true self. This is the process which when begins connects us to the universe and we instantly feel comforted and calmed. As the process catches momentum, the nurturing, inspiring and revealing energy of the feminine spirit takes over and shows us to live a life full of meaning and dedication. In fact we learn to love and be loved by others and this brings a huge paradigm shift in our thinking.

Let me finally conclude that there is no doubt on the fact that awakening the voice of feminine spirit will change our life forever. It will help us to reconnect to our essence or core. The voice of feminine spirit will open the world for us and will liberate us from the confinements of the artificial world. Therefore let’s listen to the voice of feminine spirit and rediscover our own inner self. The process may look slow initially and it would be challenging also but it will certainly open up the reservoir of ancient wisdom for a true life of the highest order.
